The government is pushing hard for chemical-free agriculture. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself led the campaign today by addressing thousands of farmers in Tamil Nadu.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the South India Natural Farming Summit in Coimbatore on November 19, 2025. Speaking to farmers from five southern states, he stressed that natural farming will reduce costs, protect soil health, and keep future generations safe from harmful chemicals.
He released the 21st instalment of PM-KISAN benefits, transferring money directly into crores of farmers’ accounts. Modi praised southern states for leading in organic and zero-budget natural farming. The two-day summit saw farmers sharing success stories of higher yields without fertilisers or pesticides. Experts demonstrated techniques like cow-dung manure and Jeevamrut preparation.
The Prime Minister repeated his “vocal for local” call and linked natural farming to the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047. He announced more training centres and market support for natural produce. Farmers expressed happiness that the government is listening to them directly.
This event is expected to give a major boost to the national mission of making 2.5 crore farmers adopt natural methods in the coming years.
