Military cooperation between India and Gulf nations is growing fast. The ongoing Dubai Airshow saw fresh commitments that will boost India’s defence capabilities.
At the Dubai Airshow 2025, India and the United Arab Emirates decided to take their defence partnership to new heights on November 19. Senior officials from both sides held detailed talks on joint production of weapons, technology transfer, training, and intelligence sharing. Indian firms showcased indigenous platforms like light combat helicopters and missile systems, attracting strong interest.
The UAE already operates several Indian-made systems and wants deeper collaboration under the “Make in India” banner. Both countries also agreed to work together on counter-terrorism and maritime security in the Indian Ocean region. Experts say the growing closeness reflects shared strategic interests and trust. Several memorandums of understanding are likely to be signed in the coming months.
This partnership not only modernises Indian forces but also creates thousands of jobs back home. Citizens see it as proof that India’s global stature is rising. More such deals are expected with friendly nations in the near future, making the Indian military stronger and more self-reliant.
