Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘King’ Announced as Biggest Film Ever, Christmas 2026 Release Locked

Bollywood is buzzing again as Shah Rukh Khan, after two blockbuster years, has officially confirmed his next mega-project. Fans who have been waiting for the big announcement since Pathaan and Jawan are celebrating today like it’s Diwali all over again.

On November 20, 2025, Red Chillies Entertainment dropped the first teaser poster of Shah Rukh Khan’s much-rumoured film titled ‘King’. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Shah Rukh himself along with son Aryan Khan’s first production credit, the movie is being called the most expensive Hindi film ever made.

Reliable sources say the budget has already crossed ₹400 crore and is still climbing. The one-line announcement read: “The King is coming – Christmas 2026.” The poster shows a burning crown and a shadowy figure holding a gun, hinting at a dark, stylish action-drama.

Reports suggest Shah Rukh plays a don-turned-mentor who trains a younger character, possibly Abhishek Bachchan or a new face, while daughter Suhana Khan is also part of the cast in a strong role. Siddharth Anand is handling the action, and Anirudh is composing the music – the same team that delivered Pathaan’s magic.

Trade experts predict this will be the biggest clash of 2026 as several studios are already shifting their dates. SRK fans have flooded social media with #KingIsComing trending worldwide within minutes. After a quiet 2025 on the acting front, Shah Rukh is clearly saving his biggest bang for the end of next year.

Cinema owners are already smiling – one film that can fill theatres for weeks. Get ready, because when the King arrives, the box office will bow.
