The company plans to use the fresh capital to widen access to advanced AI tools across India, targeting students, businesses, and a fast-growing tech-aware population.
Redrob, an emerging artificial intelligence research company, has secured $10 million in Series A funding as it accelerates efforts to make advanced AI technologies more accessible to users across India. The latest round, led by Korea Investment Partners with additional backing from KB Investment and Korea Development Bank Capital, brings the company’s total funding to $14 million following its $4 million seed raise in 2023. The fresh capital marks a major step for Redrob as it positions itself to serve the country’s rapidly expanding AI-focused audience.
A significant part of Redrob’s plan involves offering free access to its large language model to all universities in India beginning in the first quarter of 2026. The company is currently in discussions with the Ministry of Education to extend this access to students nationwide. Alongside this, Redrob is developing an enterprise suite specifically designed for small and medium-sized businesses and startups. The startup has also committed to supporting all major Indian languages by the end of 2026 to ensure broader reach and usability.
Redrob is simultaneously expanding its commercial offerings through its AI Suite, which includes PeopleSearch — a tool designed to help sales and recruitment teams identify key accounts and decision makers by aggregating data from more than nineteen sources. With this suite, the company aims to strengthen its presence among enterprises while delivering practical, productivity-focused AI tools to a wide range of sectors.
Looking ahead, Redrob plans to enhance its machine learning framework to cut operating costs, build language models across all 22 constitutionally recognised Indian languages, and roll out AI-driven solutions for learning, career growth, and workplace efficiency. Kartikey Handa, the company’s COO and Head of India Operations, said that high costs remain a barrier in many emerging markets and that Redrob intends to close this gap. He added that India’s major cities are well placed to lead the next wave of AI innovation — provided the right digital infrastructure reaches every citizen.
