Jennifer Lopez’s recent appearance in Udaipur has once again put India’s luxury wedding industry in global headlines. The pop icon reportedly charged Rs 17 crore for her latest performance — nearly a decade after she first headlined another extravagant Rajasthan wedding.
American popstar Jennifer Lopez returned to Udaipur this week for what became one of the most talked-about weddings of 2025. Draped in a rose-gold couture saree, she headlined the post-wedding celebration of Netra Mantena and Vamsi Gadiraju, bringing a Hollywood finale to a four-day royal-style affair.
The wedding, held from November 21 to 24, played out across Udaipur’s most iconic venues — The Leela Palace, Taj Lake Palace, City Palace, Zenana Mahal and Jagmandir Island Palace. The bride, daughter of US-based pharma billionaire Rama Raju Mantena, chose a deep red Sabyasachi lehenga, while the groom, co-founder of Superorder, wore a cream ensemble as the city turned into a massive festive stage.
The guest list featured Bollywood stars, global entrepreneurs and high-profile names including Donald Trump Jr.
Performances by Ranveer Singh, Janhvi Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Varun Dhawan, Nora Fatehi, Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and others kept the celebrations buzzing.
But the moment that dominated conversations was JLo’s closing act, with reports suggesting she charged Rs 17 crore for the appearance. Her asymmetrically draped metallic saree, paired with pastel gemstone jewellery, became a fashion highlight of the weekend.
This was not Lopez’s first Udaipur wedding. In 2015, she performed at the lavish Sanjay Hinduja–Anusuya Mahtani wedding, a celebration said to have cost around Rs 150 crore. Lopez reportedly charged Rs 6.5 crore for that performance and stayed at The Oberoi Udaivilas’ Kohinoor Suite. The Hinduja festivities included pre-wedding events in Mumbai, 208 chartered flights for guests and appearances from Bollywood stars and international performers.
With two high-profile Udaipur weddings a decade apart, Jennifer Lopez remains one of the most sought-after global performers for India’s ultra-luxury wedding circuit.
