India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup 2026 Clash Confirmed for February 15

The ICC has announced the T20 World Cup 2026 schedule, and the biggest highlight is clear: India and Pakistan will face off on February 15 in Colombo. With India and Sri Lanka co-hosting, the marquee rivalry stands out in a 20-team tournament packed with exciting matches from the start.

The ICC released the full schedule for the T20 World Cup 2026 on Tuesday, drawing global attention to the India–Pakistan group-stage clash on February 15 in Colombo. This fixture, one of the most-watched in cricket history, will be the centrepiece of the tournament.

India will kick off their campaign on February 7 against the USA at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. Both India and Pakistan are in Group A, along with the Netherlands and Namibia. With only two teams advancing to the Super 8 stage, the India–Pakistan match could prove decisive in determining the group standings.

The tournament features 20 teams divided into four groups:

  • Group A: India, Pakistan, USA, Netherlands, Namibia
  • Group B: Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Ireland, Oman
  • Group C: England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Nepal, Italy
  • Group D: South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Canada, UAE

Matches will be played across major venues in India — Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Ahmedabad — and several stadiums in Sri Lanka, including Colombo. The final is scheduled for March 8 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the world’s largest cricket venue.

The top two teams from each group will progress to the Super 8s, followed by semifinals and the final. For fans, the India–Pakistan clash is more than just cricket — it’s a historic rivalry with global viewership. With both teams in a transitional phase, the February 15 showdown will be crucial for momentum and could shape the story of the entire World Cup.
